Create the file preferences.xml (its structure is described in the Administrator's Guide, chapter «Configuring Exchange», paragraph «The File of Remote Preferences for the Mobile Part»), and place it into an outgoing folder (usually it is C:\PalmOrder\Server\Outbox).
The installation package of the server part contains the examples of the files preferences.xml and exchange.xml. Keep in mind, that you can place the procedure of downloading preferences.xml remotely into any existing exchange mode. No need to create an individual exchange mode. The structure of the file exchange.xml is described in the Administrator's Guide, chapter «Configuring Exchange», paragraph «Exchange File».
